Is DL2032 the same as CR2025

dl2032 and cr2032 battery are different. both comes with differen featuresand not interchangebale.

  1. DL2032 comes with high capacity about 225mah comparing to cr2025 that is170mah. So DL2032 has high power compared to cr2025
  2. DL2032 also comes with larger operating temperature than cr2025. dl2032 working at temperature less than -20degrees, best for cold conditions. While CR2025 comes with a lower operational temperature, zero degrees does not work well in cold conditions. DL2032 and CR2025 batteries come with different physical dimensions. DL2032 comes with a 20 mm diameter and 3.2mm thickness, and CR2025 dia is 20 mm with a thickness of 2.5 mm. So, they are not interchangeable.

Advantages of a CR2032 battery?

The CR2032 battery comes with different temperature ranges, high voltage, and safety features for easy power supply for different applications. It also has different temperature ranges, like -30°C to +60°C. that makes them best for use in different conditions

Through a voltage rating of 3 volts, the CR2032 battery offers a stable and constant power supply, making it supportive of different electronic devices where high voltage is needed.

The CR2032 battery comes with a low self-discharge rate, helping it retain charge for longer durations. That increases working life by about ten years; a battery is reliable when stored for a longer time.

The CR2032 battery comes with a full lineup, best for different applications. Watches, calculators, key fobs, and medical devices use these modules; the CR2032 battery also gives power to different devices.

The CR2032 battery is made without the help of mercury and is safe to dispose of. Irrespective of compact design and low weight, CR2032 batteries have high power output and are effective for small devices.

Disadvantages of DL2032

  • There are many errors reported from users during replacement with DL2032 and other effects on performance. Either it’s working well, or making it a long-term option causes faults.
  • Non-recharging and non-reusable features make it a costly option.

Disadvantages of CR2032

  • The main limitation of the CR battery is its lack of reusable features. So if the CR2032 battery is damaged, you need to use a new model. that increases cost and takes a high amount of time.
  • Low current features of the CR2032 battery refer to them being best for different electronics options and not drawing high currents. They are suitable for delivering power to small devices such as watches and toys but are not suitable for larger devices.
  • A CR2032 battery needs a special holder during replacement. Not each compartment has a feature for a CR2032 battery, so without an accurately fitting current flow, the battery becomes useless and does not provide power to devices.

Factors to Consider for CR2032 and DL2032 Batteries?

  • Check that the battery is supported with the devices where it is used.
  • Since DL2032 and CR2032 are 3V lithium coin cells with different sizes. So ensure the battery size is the same for device features.
  • The battery capacity unit is milliampere-hour, which defines working time. High-capacity batteries work longer and are best to use where high power is needed.
  • Battery shelf life indicates complete functional features before discharging. But these two batteries’ working life is 3 to 5 years. That’s helpful for use in devices.
  • The buying cost of these two batteries is also important for practical uses; normally, their value is 1 to 2 dollars but can differ according to the manufacturer.

conclusion

DL2032 and CR2032 are non-rechargeable batteries that come with the same dimensions and nominal voltage, which makes their interchangeability easy. The DL2032 battery has a higher capacity than the CR2032, so it is part of projects where high current is needed. The best is that the DL2032 has high weight compared to the CR2032; with projects needing low weight, the CR2032 is best to use. The CR2032 has different temperature options.
