Fixed: Prolific PL2303TA USB to Serial Windows 11 Problem

I have recently updated my machine’s OS from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Everything was working fine. Initially, I have not tested the USB to Serial converter (Prolific PL2303TA USB to Serial Converter). After some days, I was inserting the USB to serial converter into my machine, and it was not working. 1. I tried the driver PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v1_12_0. It worked the first time, but after I restarted the machine, I received the following error when connecting the console cable:

“PL2303TA DO NOT SUPPORT WINDOWS 11 OR LATER, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SUPPLIER.”

Later, I tried the driver below, and it resolved the issue. My console cable model is BAFO BF-812.

    • Hi, you need to do the same process again. But you don’t need to download the driver again. You can pick the driver which you installed already in the device manager.

  4. Is there a download location for this driver on Prolific’s website? A link to that would be very helpful. No offense, but as you already know: nobody should EVER download or install a driver or program or driver that doesn’t come directly from the manufacturer. EVER. A driver from a shared Google drive is not usable.
